I'm back with another birthday card inspiration featuring the Yeti or Not stamp set from My Favorite Things.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_LmFcMKHQCb3UB9qquJq9BqFyVNE6B3JsJdVGxANv5nPiT1_Hy2y8XHCGaVY_osp9eirX0Fq1zbAXeO7ENF8iH_pwTsfBgCAfiYL2dgr9K27gIgWlulgtbiCOtnEmPKEFRvAUBzYvEOmh2dS-63fbvMB0kQXOJYg5O5Q3vCQu-LMeKAj_hSRO4Bv0VgXe/s2549/IMG_7674.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2549" data-original-width="2549" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_LmFcMKHQCb3UB9qquJq9BqFyVNE6B3JsJdVGxANv5nPiT1_Hy2y8XHCGaVY_osp9eirX0Fq1zbAXeO7ENF8iH_pwTsfBgCAfiYL2dgr9K27gIgWlulgtbiCOtnEmPKEFRvAUBzYvEOmh2dS-63fbvMB0kQXOJYg5O5Q3vCQu-LMeKAj_hSRO4Bv0VgXe/w640-h640/IMG_7674.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div><span><a name='more'></a></span>First, I stamped and colored all the yeti images with Copic markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies. In order to fit all these playful yetis on a card I decided to make a slimline card. </div><div><br /></div><div>For the background I ink blended distress oxide inks on Bristol Smooth paper. I added interest by splattering lots of white paint using a small paint brush. I love doing this technique on my cards to give the look of snow falling which is perfect for winter scenes. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzurcNmPMaRH-2ewqHmoDPittrkHVTueQnOzDLsd9QTIlRsq0b5AsAQWPchccggBQxRt8h5c9vf-9YKvrq6_ls7VwmPpsuL9lqm1qYmiAgy2GyRa3b4lufJr4TJQhyDUf4LajJUiwD1jLV53UqYmwsu20CH8jZGK3R6yRKDDKiT29_4b3oswaydx1hgs7W/s2225/IMG_7673.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2225" data-original-width="2225" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzurcNmPMaRH-2ewqHmoDPittrkHVTueQnOzDLsd9QTIlRsq0b5AsAQWPchccggBQxRt8h5c9vf-9YKvrq6_ls7VwmPpsuL9lqm1qYmiAgy2GyRa3b4lufJr4TJQhyDUf4LajJUiwD1jLV53UqYmwsu20CH8jZGK3R6yRKDDKiT29_4b3oswaydx1hgs7W/w640-h640/IMG_7673.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>I cut out a snowbank and adhered it to the inked panel with double sided foam tape. I arranged all the yeti's and also mounted them with foam tape to give lots of dimension. I white heat embossed the sentiment on the background and matted a red scallop cardstock to finish off this fun winter birthday card. <div><br /></div><div>Thanks so much for stopping by. It's my birthday month and I wanted to share a few birthday card inspirations with you. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirOK_XFKu7BFIALaiJS4Wf8M-w_tYaxShH060vtbJ4LSL9fWvRvyVvHHBLa0UraB1mX9RugX0-m6AhZP8GdCBWc6WQ11-tgrxm4aVZbhIXb3tLwYhlEayXW5Ege9qYOnNpknVZQC8DxI6DZRMwKFVGJ41LlV_He5zCeT6wteX2p97-kUrqMDlrM64RPsEF/s2580/IMG_7671.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2580" data-original-width="2580" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirOK_XFKu7BFIALaiJS4Wf8M-w_tYaxShH060vtbJ4LSL9fWvRvyVvHHBLa0UraB1mX9RugX0-m6AhZP8GdCBWc6WQ11-tgrxm4aVZbhIXb3tLwYhlEayXW5Ege9qYOnNpknVZQC8DxI6DZRMwKFVGJ41LlV_He5zCeT6wteX2p97-kUrqMDlrM64RPsEF/w640-h640/IMG_7671.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div>For my card I used these adorable yeti's from the Jenoblade collection from My Favorite Things. I have been a longtime fan of the Jenoblade images but I steered away from them because they didn't come with dies and I'm not a fussy cutter kinda girl. I do have a Scan N Cut but I prefer dies to cut my images. When I heard MFT was carrying Jenoblade I was so excited because I adore her cute illustrations. I stamped and colored all the images with Copic markers and cut with their coordinating dies. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe59dT5xGjU3ubpzEFRm7oBqZxz8nETF99pyVXOt7n6xjURSQ1kSUyfkFv_nZI-Cx19Z4U86_VK0-TaoFQCEvZ2OVEQWJ1AMCJaMMJ1OF7MOezRkrWA0hscxqfmU2uxvf4TuM24lpas8ESbxUeAsQ9RwKNT2IRTNZiqwd1ExhFJhCUTgPyJF70I4zBHmRN/s2681/IMG_7672.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2681" data-original-width="2681" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe59dT5xGjU3ubpzEFRm7oBqZxz8nETF99pyVXOt7n6xjURSQ1kSUyfkFv_nZI-Cx19Z4U86_VK0-TaoFQCEvZ2OVEQWJ1AMCJaMMJ1OF7MOezRkrWA0hscxqfmU2uxvf4TuM24lpas8ESbxUeAsQ9RwKNT2IRTNZiqwd1ExhFJhCUTgPyJF70I4zBHmRN/w640-h640/IMG_7672.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>For the background, I ink blended using a ray stencil. I added interest by splattering white acrylic paint and wilted violet distress oxide ink. I adhered the images with a combination of liquid glue and double-side foam tape to add some dimension. <div><br /></div><div>Thank you for stopping by. I hope everyone is doing well. Today I have Valentine card #5 using a big sentiment and images. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigYNMOzgmIVq2gfhK7vbEVpfLeSHDzAb_JN6VjYxnJCL2AJKJbFZyg23TGBaWTs01ufuA8nyPrCJKvKa4wgmACH4zaFoV9g503IHzEJcpWQCTXAvuRte1hEdINX8OZLvbunlIHO6l7aPKtNkk6pdmCnV9vctG6dWlHgl3b9aryR4_E8YrX44c9BVsQxPZk/s2549/IMG_7660.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2549" data-original-width="2549" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigYNMOzgmIVq2gfhK7vbEVpfLeSHDzAb_JN6VjYxnJCL2AJKJbFZyg23TGBaWTs01ufuA8nyPrCJKvKa4wgmACH4zaFoV9g503IHzEJcpWQCTXAvuRte1hEdINX8OZLvbunlIHO6l7aPKtNkk6pdmCnV9vctG6dWlHgl3b9aryR4_E8YrX44c9BVsQxPZk/w640-h640/IMG_7660.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>I used lots of products from Lawn Fawn for this sweet card, but you can re-create it with similar products. All you need is a big sentiment and some cute critters that I'm sure us crafters have a ton of in our stash. First, I started by cutting the purple cardstock from the quilted heart backdrop. I darken the edges with wilted violet and splattered white acrylic paint for more interest. Once it was dried, I mounted the blue paper from watercolor wishes paper pack.<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq27HwvtSG_xS2khzpaQXiwb_OCatU35zw4J2ZOH_EuGuywqOrsm9TUeS6WQtacR-WLj_qMeJVIpSGhv5uFa9264IG1-OYf_fRZZlTG-ItM87gYdBbRJDtnfHjeEFqPXjespEUDlQZWXZRTbvN9MR3_lA5lrzQqDVFqtQMnCYgWj4UMKlPEZEzd2bJ7-3Q/s2255/IMG_7661.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2255" data-original-width="2255" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq27HwvtSG_xS2khzpaQXiwb_OCatU35zw4J2ZOH_EuGuywqOrsm9TUeS6WQtacR-WLj_qMeJVIpSGhv5uFa9264IG1-OYf_fRZZlTG-ItM87gYdBbRJDtnfHjeEFqPXjespEUDlQZWXZRTbvN9MR3_lA5lrzQqDVFqtQMnCYgWj4UMKlPEZEzd2bJ7-3Q/w640-h640/IMG_7661.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used the skunks I previously colored, so I had them ready to go. As always, my choice for coloring images is Copic markers because that is what I'm most comfortable with. Next, I cut the giant love ya from white cardstock and again in dusty blue cardstock. I colored the hearts with shades of pinks. I also used a heart die to cut from vellum and adhered it behind the outline sentiment. </div></div><div><br /></div><div>Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm back with Valentine card #4 using the darling porcupines from the Porcu-pine for you and the add-on stamp set from Lawn Fawn. </p><p>To begin I stamped the images with alcohol friendly ink. I have been liking Gina K chocolate truffle because the ink dries quickly so I can start coloring the images immediately with Copic markers. Once I'm happy with the coloring I cut them out with the coordinating dies.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc30fY_f4cSFJbniVhPA66yxKJk8dXhLOUnKMKPHswQ394WeY_YSfWDNd444G7qrlwMl2hB1ivUOQVYgorOjVQtQCcTSN47PIuiMFKPM_9dpsXTJcEnj2E6MPWvwjLsEwXi3Qyv2Z1itf_wlbwYbNvPIZGtEa5j1rTRihPwv-J8w_xyvoglFFTqCAvltOL/s2479/IMG_7658.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2479" data-original-width="2479" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc30fY_f4cSFJbniVhPA66yxKJk8dXhLOUnKMKPHswQ394WeY_YSfWDNd444G7qrlwMl2hB1ivUOQVYgorOjVQtQCcTSN47PIuiMFKPM_9dpsXTJcEnj2E6MPWvwjLsEwXi3Qyv2Z1itf_wlbwYbNvPIZGtEa5j1rTRihPwv-J8w_xyvoglFFTqCAvltOL/w640-h640/IMG_7658.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p><span></span></p><a name='more'></a>Next, I used the peekaboo backdrop to cut from white cardstock and mounted double-sided foam tape behind it. Then I cut the grass from watercolor wishes paper and inked the edges with mowed lawn distress oxide ink. For the floral background I used a stitched rectangle to cut from What's Sewing On? paper pack. I went with a soft color palette for this card with a pop of red. <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT71jvCyz7dYBO52IJqfwNjPXpf4rI3O30D76C-q2ZS2pafEmRMiw4pDlx5fEcahCJveEC_3BJchITI3OJpTMnCS0WZEy81LbwQ7rFlHUlIZgXQMOJsxJB_rSUMKpdewYzkEPZAZ-JSIxqjoGOK-HAS19Czif-JOkNHQntvppWNhPCJhyphenhyphen2GaCrVwB549HY/s2779/IMG_7659.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2779" data-original-width="2779" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT71jvCyz7dYBO52IJqfwNjPXpf4rI3O30D76C-q2ZS2pafEmRMiw4pDlx5fEcahCJveEC_3BJchITI3OJpTMnCS0WZEy81LbwQ7rFlHUlIZgXQMOJsxJB_rSUMKpdewYzkEPZAZ-JSIxqjoGOK-HAS19Czif-JOkNHQntvppWNhPCJhyphenhyphen2GaCrVwB549HY/w640-h640/IMG_7659.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p>I added the colored images onto the window panels and assembled my scenes. Today I have a last-minute entry for the Lunar New Year challenge. </p><p><br /></p><p>The Lunar New Year begins on February 10 and last more than two weeks. It is to celebrate the arrival of Spring and start of a new year according to the Chinese calendar. Each year is named after an animal, this is the year of the Dragon. Growing up in Hawaii we celebrated in a huge way. I always enjoyed the parades where they do the dragon dance. I also loved seeing all the beautiful designs and of course the food and money envelopes were a special treat. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH2YaGZLhkehHYmjgU9-jTdWQcF9nzihGS6C8g02H6V_IbiDX9hox245tTFC7ZOjsI418sGiM_KkRTqkknDFkGfsikMUWomSNsDo7y0MZ-JNE0yEcjUX-V4BYzmlhGogJWwYCkdBWJKa87qblcyD5ma_qTrM_DId1sTvGlgcPrMtHGAnHqnOnER-1oETpe/s2393/IMG_7663.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2393" data-original-width="2393" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH2YaGZLhkehHYmjgU9-jTdWQcF9nzihGS6C8g02H6V_IbiDX9hox245tTFC7ZOjsI418sGiM_KkRTqkknDFkGfsikMUWomSNsDo7y0MZ-JNE0yEcjUX-V4BYzmlhGogJWwYCkdBWJKa87qblcyD5ma_qTrM_DId1sTvGlgcPrMtHGAnHqnOnER-1oETpe/w640-h640/IMG_7663.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For my card I used bunny images which was last year's Lunar animal. I'm hoping to make another Lunar card using a dragon stamp set before the holiday ends. But I really wanted to participate in the challenge, so this is what I came up with. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">To start, I stamped the Lunar bunnies with Gina K chocolate truffle ink. I colored them using Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaB0TWrET3t-t_bLv7dBYiIKk4Woo4iIi-7kt77oBl5ntBq-TU_9vWnyqOZ-gsuABXesdv6TQZenrlkX0bS5-szepd_GYfjr8XVnPMO5QoQ6qhLi0uVt2PVHAS6eYoAf2UFNzmoKDQUv0MzIO2ukL7f2RL4UBqDOfGru-4q3rzu581Sv6Gbn7BvW1Sz4Gy/s2008/IMG_7662.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2008" data-original-width="2008" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaB0TWrET3t-t_bLv7dBYiIKk4Woo4iIi-7kt77oBl5ntBq-TU_9vWnyqOZ-gsuABXesdv6TQZenrlkX0bS5-szepd_GYfjr8XVnPMO5QoQ6qhLi0uVt2PVHAS6eYoAf2UFNzmoKDQUv0MzIO2ukL7f2RL4UBqDOfGru-4q3rzu581Sv6Gbn7BvW1Sz4Gy/w640-h640/IMG_7662.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div>I used a six-window cover die to cut from white cardstock. I ink blended on the negative circles then use it to inlay onto the panel to add some color to the background. I adhered the bunnies with double sided foam tape onto the windows and used one of the windows to stamp the sentiment. I went with the traditional gold and red colors for the Lunar New Year. That is all for me I hope you like it! </div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhlwMjzx-gYlnx4hA7PD-GMb9QR8ZxxjKpGcs2FFnTN1Hsq3PZakrSxvZTxTgOi8nOiOkke3RjiCv4jkMmkb-OczFMRDG5mCW1CmHa4IoUQG4AIuK9yiounmigfR7iVr4j8HBldvaR7_sr68_V7mmxASqEKWEepd46uIy3CT0BByL0GdBCgHc6CO51Jrat8" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhlwMjzx-gYlnx4hA7PD-GMb9QR8ZxxjKpGcs2FFnTN1Hsq3PZakrSxvZTxTgOi8nOiOkke3RjiCv4jkMmkb-OczFMRDG5mCW1CmHa4IoUQG4AIuK9yiounmigfR7iVr4j8HBldvaR7_sr68_V7mmxASqEKWEepd46uIy3CT0BByL0GdBCgHc6CO51Jrat8=w400-h400" width="400" /></a></div><div><br /><div>Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day!</div><div><br /></div><div>Products Used:</div><div>Mama Elephant Lunar Bunnies stamps and dies</div><div>Mama Elephant Six Window cover die</div><div><br /></div><div>Distress Oxide Inks: Candied Apple and Mustard Seed</div><div><br /></div><div><br /><p></p><div><br /></div></div></div></div>craftymochihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04489114656299623888noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2636577227780246891.post-10408357700696420462024-01-30T09:00:00.016-05:002024-01-30T09:00:00.130-05:002024 Valentine Card 3: You Make My Heart Hop<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello friends! I also cut the XOXO die from red cardstock and twice from white cardstock. If you follow me on IG (crafty_mochi) you know that I like dimensions on my card. I like to cut sentiment dies multiple times to stack together and double-sided foam tape to mount images. I think this adds a lot of interest and depth to a card making it extra special in my opinion.<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlYKjV7K4RQ9qA8k5NZCOVc7kqXHvPr1EctjVvh0QGufrdWh7NaBmWfsGkcGZ0_K0lC6Z5K1ZfpRPIBSVsZVVYUfDJtE5PPm5-YX5TFYl01lTRRNmEKY2ceCbhLWGfL-rCe9Ec7lawVYVg3KJZeh5KXfRy4mQ8n69wR8ph2z8f3hX1_pRp0RtwcN746d-y/s2833/IMG_7657.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2833" data-original-width="2833" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlYKjV7K4RQ9qA8k5NZCOVc7kqXHvPr1EctjVvh0QGufrdWh7NaBmWfsGkcGZ0_K0lC6Z5K1ZfpRPIBSVsZVVYUfDJtE5PPm5-YX5TFYl01lTRRNmEKY2ceCbhLWGfL-rCe9Ec7lawVYVg3KJZeh5KXfRy4mQ8n69wR8ph2z8f3hX1_pRp0RtwcN746d-y/w640-h640/IMG_7657.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p>Next, I inlaid the pattern paper into each square and adhered the XOXO die cut on the bottom of the panel. For the top layer I used the heart garland backdrop die cut from white and red cardstock. Then, I glued the clear acetate behind it and mounted thick double-sided foam tape for embellishments to move freely. I also cut green cardstock from a grass border die to ground the images. For the bottom layer (or the background) I used the spiffy speckles paper pack and inked the clouds with a stencil. The embellishments include a mixture of tiny hearts and unicorn confetti chunky glitter. Next, I assembled the sweet scene using the images I colored. I really like the playful critters and fun sentiments in this set perfect for celebrating any occasions. I colored them using my Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis1RfLXEs5JhY5LN8eVYQFlWni0PTxT4DZ77UJW-Gm_FDwzH5E4Xb1JfSsbza952QFasAUEUm7wOX0d95rHxzsHc0ks6M76m_eumy2T7JZsPbRxGfIudnO5rmNVdsHUnz5c4w7BWtTUozNz9qusZWOJZrN3_hmMVUQqABu8n-uZ6PRtxVeyh1eSrA7oQ/s3024/ECBC70E2-D75A-490C-B4CD-E24369B31FA7.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis1RfLXEs5JhY5LN8eVYQFlWni0PTxT4DZ77UJW-Gm_FDwzH5E4Xb1JfSsbza952QFasAUEUm7wOX0d95rHxzsHc0ks6M76m_eumy2T7JZsPbRxGfIudnO5rmNVdsHUnz5c4w7BWtTUozNz9qusZWOJZrN3_hmMVUQqABu8n-uZ6PRtxVeyh1eSrA7oQ/w400-h400/ECBC70E2-D75A-490C-B4CD-E24369B31FA7.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next I cut the main panel from Bristol smooth cardstock that is slightly smaller than A2 size. I began ink blending using distress oxide inks. I used the colors picked raspberry, saltwater taffy, and scattered straw. I diluted picked raspberry with some water and splattered it onto the panel using a small paint brush. To ground the animals I cut the grass border from green cardstock and darken the edges with pine needle distress ink.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrVlhf_NcX5h5uj7j0ku8EBPPt8d-H6-uJtcR5cp8HDbKcZaw2Og3Wc88Dr1ktWE88Xdm5n-A8AUZ0jIFrjbrxbfqVS_c2j8oYG7uuNjG_3kZMkdvmOK-tfcv_RFE3VtIj0G-VIzHOq0mOJWaXCAOE52e9Xcdrs_XOzkdajYr2A0xl__9r8loTvbxYAw/s3024/806A7B22-9543-4FC9-8655-BDF2D08A41F9.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrVlhf_NcX5h5uj7j0ku8EBPPt8d-H6-uJtcR5cp8HDbKcZaw2Og3Wc88Dr1ktWE88Xdm5n-A8AUZ0jIFrjbrxbfqVS_c2j8oYG7uuNjG_3kZMkdvmOK-tfcv_RFE3VtIj0G-VIzHOq0mOJWaXCAOE52e9Xcdrs_XOzkdajYr2A0xl__9r8loTvbxYAw/w400-h400/806A7B22-9543-4FC9-8655-BDF2D08A41F9.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>I adhered the images with double side foam tape for dimension. I white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. Then I adhered the panel onto green gingham paper to give a nice border. For a final touch I used the little stars dies to cut from Lawn Fawn's pixie dust cardstock and scattered them on the sky. <p></p><div>Thanks for joining me and I hope you like this barnyard birthday card. I wanted this card to be happy so of course I used rainbow colors using <a href="https://craftymeraki.com/collections/distress-inks" target="_blank">distress oxide inks</a>. I used the colors salvaged patina, blueprint sketch, wilted violet, picked raspberry, abandoned coral and scattered straws. You can find all these <a href="https://craftymeraki.com/collections/distress-inks" target="_blank">inks</a> in the shop!</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcZOG3zRGnaRrwKgLNRzi-aojII19DtnTOepwZKAYr6z56MjJqlhet_oSuTYfgSfFSyOb_5rMZpwOOhraXH66WQHoeSeGzLcfQOhcWamlDuAI4YVQoEYgltILlWHUgYaktDVOEgevrYPJ0/s2048/A7481A5D-7D01-41D4-9398-27368F6B7C89.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2047" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcZOG3zRGnaRrwKgLNRzi-aojII19DtnTOepwZKAYr6z56MjJqlhet_oSuTYfgSfFSyOb_5rMZpwOOhraXH66WQHoeSeGzLcfQOhcWamlDuAI4YVQoEYgltILlWHUgYaktDVOEgevrYPJ0/w640-h640/A7481A5D-7D01-41D4-9398-27368F6B7C89.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>I used <a href="https://craftymeraki.com/collections/crafty-meraki/products/crafty-meraki-bar-none-slimline-die?variant=32941110427738" target="_blank">Crafty Meraki's Bar None slimline die </a>to cut from white cardstock. I cut it twice and stacked them together to make it sturdy. I used a grass die to cut from colored cardstock then tucked them in between the opening to ground the critters. For the sentiment I used the <a href="https://craftymeraki.com/collections/crafty-meraki/products/crafty-meraki-hugs-shadow-word-die?variant=39270172328026" target="_blank">hugs shadow die</a> from Crafty Meraki. I will list the supplies at the end of this post. I started by ink blending on Bristol smooth cardstock using distress oxide inks. First I lightly blended salvaged patina, salty ocean and blueprint sketch. Then with a heavier hand I used the same inks on top of the wavy lines stencil. I love the texture this stencil creates it's soo amazing!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_eeH6Yl03Tun5NkQ6cuL0qENNCp7_NpZnnCvDcGmIjKqaktcC9-MK6sJMu0v9zt1exG1bNQf5OkT6R903vX-Gqr2ZjR0Xti4xAITf5tsKR7jQxFcUBWbjESsnjZSzOvcRYtBwYZhZz82b/s2048/7DC5E204-0862-489E-A262-6C869C5F2040.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_eeH6Yl03Tun5NkQ6cuL0qENNCp7_NpZnnCvDcGmIjKqaktcC9-MK6sJMu0v9zt1exG1bNQf5OkT6R903vX-Gqr2ZjR0Xti4xAITf5tsKR7jQxFcUBWbjESsnjZSzOvcRYtBwYZhZz82b/w640-h640/7DC5E204-0862-489E-A262-6C869C5F2040.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>Next I colored the cute little girl on her float and some leaves with copic markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivuYeJC_llgZP39vwUHsvKP2aWv6lFwuYg0jB6fqivSoonbYYonQbFwld94niBDaeRcqPV_Nbc6-ZG0oV2nolJG2Ghs5Vpgh3hckq8OPic77z4enqOEuGEf2aopxTZ3V3YrkPPgBtxpBFF/s2048/34F74157-2C6F-43C0-9CD1-297CEA2A677B.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivuYeJC_llgZP39vwUHsvKP2aWv6lFwuYg0jB6fqivSoonbYYonQbFwld94niBDaeRcqPV_Nbc6-ZG0oV2nolJG2Ghs5Vpgh3hckq8OPic77z4enqOEuGEf2aopxTZ3V3YrkPPgBtxpBFF/w640-h640/34F74157-2C6F-43C0-9CD1-297CEA2A677B.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>Next I cut the rectangle frame from white cardstock, adhered the acetate and backed it with double sided foam tape. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6Av8INxXWKAf-Ce63gxPpssQhDzRgGQYHsP8yA5QIDUFZUO0NFu-y3zkwIzZKwRPkRVOgWDychFLJOeANm3-S6dA45nuvObsgmWeMvfn3nmHX3HU3L2YRSnOG9azSmHFeSk6BT8xKiJ1n/s2048/388D66EF-D1BF-469C-8CA2-36E739137F0B.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6Av8INxXWKAf-Ce63gxPpssQhDzRgGQYHsP8yA5QIDUFZUO0NFu-y3zkwIzZKwRPkRVOgWDychFLJOeANm3-S6dA45nuvObsgmWeMvfn3nmHX3HU3L2YRSnOG9azSmHFeSk6BT8xKiJ1n/w640-h640/388D66EF-D1BF-469C-8CA2-36E739137F0B.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCCc2pLbDYuvYghnxe9m5fbbI6EIeI-y4Ww6RydPr7HGpuzlnSTzESKqCZbFIZBx4Q4olbyh3MOKphkRBWWVJYsLDqlDvQaZMgKZ6n3up4e4bcSsB5EGU-Xk9ykbuwVVhEfiN0b2wv7qWx/s2048/814F81C4-98AF-44C9-8154-A285D4DA995C.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCCc2pLbDYuvYghnxe9m5fbbI6EIeI-y4Ww6RydPr7HGpuzlnSTzESKqCZbFIZBx4Q4olbyh3MOKphkRBWWVJYsLDqlDvQaZMgKZ6n3up4e4bcSsB5EGU-Xk9ykbuwVVhEfiN0b2wv7qWx/w640-h640/814F81C4-98AF-44C9-8154-A285D4DA995C.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For the sentiment I white heat embossed it on navy cardstock, trimmed it down then centered it on the bottom of the card. I created a cute slimline birthday scene using My Favorite Things stamp set and Crafty Meraki dies.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvESNayfL2IKHHAu0R1x7QXCg94mlIjGTVHH4NCuG1unCr4cs-akDhIE6DAVDmKDnsgmP6LCSc5GqQGGGjx22Ta9G9TDUasTSst0kU9eHdD6nk6qh6M67521yuf5QkBXQFafU5poPe_dzb/s2048/4A593AFF-E79F-465C-8A1D-044755E2123E.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvESNayfL2IKHHAu0R1x7QXCg94mlIjGTVHH4NCuG1unCr4cs-akDhIE6DAVDmKDnsgmP6LCSc5GqQGGGjx22Ta9G9TDUasTSst0kU9eHdD6nk6qh6M67521yuf5QkBXQFafU5poPe_dzb/w640-h640/4A593AFF-E79F-465C-8A1D-044755E2123E.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>First I stamped all the images from Mice Day to Celebrate stamp set with alcohol friendly ink. There are so many images with this set and lots of accessories to add to your scene. I colored them using Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH-07jkmjdiXD-n30xCW2HOLbfgBJBJgA-Sct89e8-EwF2i4u7s23jKeZchfpJhSZgyfDmy4ln7Nwn1zOyBnu_RCadg-N9rsfNhY8d1GD_ycIgKwMk3KBSEJ3brYHpQn-J2u0lZYmXyjAw/s2048/21BAFC7D-B387-4850-BB85-AF7625D10D05.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH-07jkmjdiXD-n30xCW2HOLbfgBJBJgA-Sct89e8-EwF2i4u7s23jKeZchfpJhSZgyfDmy4ln7Nwn1zOyBnu_RCadg-N9rsfNhY8d1GD_ycIgKwMk3KBSEJ3brYHpQn-J2u0lZYmXyjAw/w640-h640/21BAFC7D-B387-4850-BB85-AF7625D10D05.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>Next I used the 3-room studio slimline die from Crafty Meraki to cut from pattern paper and Bristol smooth cardstock. I glued them together to make it sturdy. For the inside panels I did some ink blending with distress oxide inks in the colors salty ocean, worn lipstick and scattered straw. I used similar colors to have a cohesive color palette.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTK9cKR1-3Nk9Jhg1NdvFlUxwtz2y91hY0QIy-kzGDSS6hyphenhyphenwff0B-0dJ27Sk7K3tUyxXW1SbKr5dTyuIUYfr8ckwLEJw8cjkjPsFy0ulBtLNNn08MrVV9E3UA7fm3voFw6X5_SXxSF5_kX/s2048/69A07525-FA2C-4707-B62F-07B961D8E7F3.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTK9cKR1-3Nk9Jhg1NdvFlUxwtz2y91hY0QIy-kzGDSS6hyphenhyphenwff0B-0dJ27Sk7K3tUyxXW1SbKr5dTyuIUYfr8ckwLEJw8cjkjPsFy0ulBtLNNn08MrVV9E3UA7fm3voFw6X5_SXxSF5_kX/w640-h640/69A07525-FA2C-4707-B62F-07B961D8E7F3.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div> I adhered the card panel onto the card base with liquid glue. I arranged the images on the inked panels and made sure to make room for the sentiment. I backed the images with double sided foam tape for dimension. That is it for me I love how happy and cheerful this card turned out. I hope you found some inspiration. Welcome back to my blog, thanks for being here. I'm sharing my last entry for the Mama Elephant guest design call with another slimline box card. I couldn't help myself I just had to create one more box card. I hope you find some inspiration so without further ado let's get started!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQJNJbN-zwVnQjSP6rUuogxuJXZo4-YIcXtpQCJBVNVA1YKh_zETXDxIy6IENfD1xzssdNFncdVKvh_3aM0_m0CNmlrUer26BO7uAxLdf6baFlhXdbSy18zr8UAj9_rIEabKodejPGga6p/s2048/8B3BF9F2-FBD2-4C81-A2CB-18AA3CCCE309.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQJNJbN-zwVnQjSP6rUuogxuJXZo4-YIcXtpQCJBVNVA1YKh_zETXDxIy6IENfD1xzssdNFncdVKvh_3aM0_m0CNmlrUer26BO7uAxLdf6baFlhXdbSy18zr8UAj9_rIEabKodejPGga6p/w640-h640/8B3BF9F2-FBD2-4C81-A2CB-18AA3CCCE309.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>I cut the base of the box card with white cardstock and light blue for the front and side stitched panels. For the shelves I used kraft cardstock and inked it with vintage photo distress oxide inks. To make it look like sand I diluted vintage photo and white gouache paint then flicked it onto the shelves with a small paint brush.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHzba0hnFqk_C3MGqkcjdPs6Hb2d7VJJRQ5Z70Uj-G2KETzpSVgBfbkVWb1a-mTuPwlzBM0G8eOWdceV9gmP0D0gMCVfnEwroeUt95O0E7SszhThtCCxAy0ZixS5buOGcQvmuvIqgcydIf/s2048/18DC2835-0D73-43C5-A00D-93AEBE9C9BC0.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHzba0hnFqk_C3MGqkcjdPs6Hb2d7VJJRQ5Z70Uj-G2KETzpSVgBfbkVWb1a-mTuPwlzBM0G8eOWdceV9gmP0D0gMCVfnEwroeUt95O0E7SszhThtCCxAy0ZixS5buOGcQvmuvIqgcydIf/w640-h640/18DC2835-0D73-43C5-A00D-93AEBE9C9BC0.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>For the inked background I used the die to cut twice from Bristol Smooth cardstock. For the sunset I blended ripe persimmon and mustard seed distress oxide inks. To add interest I flicked some water and diluted ripe persimmon on the panel. I cut the second cardstock in half to create the ocean. I blended blueprint sketch, salty ocean, and peacock feathers. Again I dilute the darkest color which is the blueprint sketch then splatter on the panel. I constructed the box using liquid glue to adhered them together.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRU_wgatP2doWiT1SLO_F2ELfL4jTsSi4msvVmMEjbNClKvWTYEG22Nr7TESBblfpOD6ZHwnbwxBDFjEEqK1jcpz4Z7874vw09S9H4tG3FXyNSK3tv0LdXV81u0mCR3bxwfe1H1lVeO8qz/s2048/21B44F27-5401-4AC6-84A2-3A985D07DFA0.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRU_wgatP2doWiT1SLO_F2ELfL4jTsSi4msvVmMEjbNClKvWTYEG22Nr7TESBblfpOD6ZHwnbwxBDFjEEqK1jcpz4Z7874vw09S9H4tG3FXyNSK3tv0LdXV81u0mCR3bxwfe1H1lVeO8qz/w640-h640/21B44F27-5401-4AC6-84A2-3A985D07DFA0.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>I stamped all the images with MFT milk chocolate ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added white highlights using a white gel pen. For the sentiment I white heat embossed part of the phrase onto black cardstock. Then I cut out the letters in the word "sunshine" from colored cardstock. I added all the critters and additional elements in the box card with liquid glue. I did cut out the palm tree from white cardstock to glue on the back of the colored palm tree to make it more sturdy. Finally, I added glossy accents on the "sunshine" letters. Phew that's a wrap! I hope you like this summer theme box card. I had a lot of fun creating it. <div><br /></div><div>Thanks for stopping by I'll be back soon! </div><div><br /></div><div>Products Used:</div><div>Mama Elephant Summer Days stamps</div><div><div>Mama Elephant Summer Days dies</div><div><div>Mama Elephant Tandem Ride stamps</div><div><div>Mama Elephant Tandem Ride dies</div><div>Mama Elephant Beach Chickies stamps</div><div>Mama Elephant Slim Scenescape Builder dies</div><div><div>Mama Elephant Letterboard dies</div><div><br /></div></div></div></div><div><br /></div><div><p></p></div></div>craftymochihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04489114656299623888noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2636577227780246891.post-4426450262498277672021-08-03T08:30:00.002-04:002021-08-03T08:30:00.189-04:00Friendly monkey<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hi friends! I'm back with another card using mostly dies. Isn't this monkey the cutest??</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAiWmVZrxxdO0ZNB3Eq2xQ3bNpBeRUCkjyQuyuMfA8x8Oz93RQbZQqcmtOEujEzSQIhXUkXFd-7aWe8lu4xYgOihwkEAoLsRLwxeuD3zUQ8NCSl8Ibcd18_CFfzY0ji8yPR0PomV05cfBe/s2048/4A6C424C-EACC-4F08-BAAC-DAE18DA35E36.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAiWmVZrxxdO0ZNB3Eq2xQ3bNpBeRUCkjyQuyuMfA8x8Oz93RQbZQqcmtOEujEzSQIhXUkXFd-7aWe8lu4xYgOihwkEAoLsRLwxeuD3zUQ8NCSl8Ibcd18_CFfzY0ji8yPR0PomV05cfBe/w640-h640/4A6C424C-EACC-4F08-BAAC-DAE18DA35E36.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>This adorable monkey is from Mama Elephant's Favor Bag Accessory (aka FBA). I created this card around the Leafy cover die. I just knew it would go well with the monkey FBA. I cut the cover die twice from dark green cardstock and stacked them together to make it more sturdy.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDddBMXliVEU-TbPW_b4z3urgTrbUT-7lrlp5tEmlOZPPlYifwLagXpxR1KRF6bZC1NI6v8IZW8HXFhDbMvdNJWSQ6ALlzoSRXo5z3vqj6pQm_-wu-B2qSbzTqGrauvil2AKp0DGhU0ClH/s2048/30B81EC8-D916-421A-8E9F-A1A31A12F4B8.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDddBMXliVEU-TbPW_b4z3urgTrbUT-7lrlp5tEmlOZPPlYifwLagXpxR1KRF6bZC1NI6v8IZW8HXFhDbMvdNJWSQ6ALlzoSRXo5z3vqj6pQm_-wu-B2qSbzTqGrauvil2AKp0DGhU0ClH/w640-h640/30B81EC8-D916-421A-8E9F-A1A31A12F4B8.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>For the monkey, I used the dies to cut from colored cardstock. To add dimension I blended tea dye along the edges of her face and spun sugar on the inner part of her ears and cheeks. To assemble I used liquid glue and some washi tape on the back to keep the head and face together. I added a flower on her head to make her even more adorable. For interest I used a white gel pen to add highlights on her nose, flower and hands. I also place Nuvo crystal drops on the center of the flower and glossy accents on her eyes.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3oYhyphenhyphentt13vmuBqm-UIq2SlZwChtiiiMnc6YlxoMaEgzl2icAUL0DK6pMNTqEPzzgVUU2GtVe7maS63TJ0YaEKp0zJSPSB9lhaf3QHtIcWD9Tegq0L_FW6n5xWm3BcWblHD1C1CrXIeon5/s2048/FCACF187-254F-4AB5-88B1-41DF9561600B.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3oYhyphenhyphentt13vmuBqm-UIq2SlZwChtiiiMnc6YlxoMaEgzl2icAUL0DK6pMNTqEPzzgVUU2GtVe7maS63TJ0YaEKp0zJSPSB9lhaf3QHtIcWD9Tegq0L_FW6n5xWm3BcWblHD1C1CrXIeon5/w640-h640/FCACF187-254F-4AB5-88B1-41DF9561600B.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>For the inked panel I used picked raspberry, abandoned coral and squeezed lemonade distress oxide inks. I adhered the leafy cover die on top of the inked panel using liquid glue. I placed double sided foam tape on the head of the monkey and also her hands to give it some dimension. Finally I stamped a small sentiment on a thought bubble. <div><br /></div><div>I love how this turned out. I ink blended the main panel with distress oxide inks. I used all the colors of the rainbow with wilted violet, peacock feathers, squeezed lemonade, abandoned coral, picked raspberry and salty ocean. I used a small paint brush to splatter some water on the panel. I also diluted salty ocean and picked raspberry for more interest. If that wasn't enough I also used some Perfect Pearls for a subtle shimmer. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUEiGPAP3snIQ6AmiQ5q912ya3Rh6vkHFNDUKmYyd9oRzrcB9cvocOGFeBE1GZHkkkfTliN6hV3DcWbZ4TUZlxqqx2lAbSgrI6Pr655I_0yEm4wNW-GBBF2NK_CP20ZbbOvGHD0SPPnSDB/s2048/A4E06291-4FEA-435E-A55C-1ADA7532F798.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUEiGPAP3snIQ6AmiQ5q912ya3Rh6vkHFNDUKmYyd9oRzrcB9cvocOGFeBE1GZHkkkfTliN6hV3DcWbZ4TUZlxqqx2lAbSgrI6Pr655I_0yEm4wNW-GBBF2NK_CP20ZbbOvGHD0SPPnSDB/w640-h640/A4E06291-4FEA-435E-A55C-1ADA7532F798.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next I cut out some raindrops and clouds to add to the scene. The bigger cloud is from one of the negative from Hello Bluebird Partly Cloudy die. Now it was time to assemble the card. I adhered the clouds and images with a combination of liquid glue and double sided foam tape. I glued the raindrops on top of the inked background and added glossy accents. I stamped the sentiment on the cloud with a dark blue pigment ink. Finally I added some white highlights to the critters to complete the card. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I hope this card bring some happiness to your day. I'm back with another slimline box card. I hope you are not getting tired of me sharing these types of cards. I had so many ideas in my head and lots of previously colored images so one weekend I just started putting things together. I hope you like this one!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXPPdB2NLu7gRHArCGgQBAIPmuTu53L0VM3pMpdGPa-cIfpKZa_22RKlSgemfx-eaio-Yuadp8HtsmkEoPbCPjSa5bwzYRKVWnBcha1Goar-1NraXgPxW7YlGvtYQbCKrZ8O4pugrD8HU0/s2048/3C3588AC-9B45-40B2-94EE-A7F9F4DB278F.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXPPdB2NLu7gRHArCGgQBAIPmuTu53L0VM3pMpdGPa-cIfpKZa_22RKlSgemfx-eaio-Yuadp8HtsmkEoPbCPjSa5bwzYRKVWnBcha1Goar-1NraXgPxW7YlGvtYQbCKrZ8O4pugrD8HU0/w640-h640/3C3588AC-9B45-40B2-94EE-A7F9F4DB278F.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>As you can see this looks like a Spring theme card because of the bunnies and pastel colors which wasn't my intention but I think it turned out so cute. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg11QFNpLffk1P17QGbT1UaaO6CwvZYp9OwY3Rbd1w14RlOxLw47oHBJxO-gpAdSR7FoypssGB7wvs_7XhIS4t4am7MS5lmjcoWk-wF_dPH97rU1E9YEfSPkSNZl8h3cAaLsr5b8MJcrqLa/s2048/01624B53-53F9-4427-9D49-27E123C57178.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg11QFNpLffk1P17QGbT1UaaO6CwvZYp9OwY3Rbd1w14RlOxLw47oHBJxO-gpAdSR7FoypssGB7wvs_7XhIS4t4am7MS5lmjcoWk-wF_dPH97rU1E9YEfSPkSNZl8h3cAaLsr5b8MJcrqLa/w640-h640/01624B53-53F9-4427-9D49-27E123C57178.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>For the images I colored the big fluffy bunnies, carrots, strawberries and balloon with copic markers. I used colored cardstock for the base and Bristol smooth for the panels to do some ink blending. I used distress oxide inks in salvage patina, salty ocean, and blueprint sketch to create a nighttime sky. I also darkened the edges with black soot. To create more interest I used Perfect Pearls and some water with a small paint brush to flick onto the panel. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii0-YAJlp-sq_9OH-8t1dI6pFViGhSYj_9TkwTEqPnAte-SgtwMjFcoocuao_DjLEfIL57SeTYX4EOi3hqL41r3i_34pxJqLqsivU2N8LlnOj-AJOB4JLj74UfQ60tB22Rc0VE5YokXZci/s2048/8E6AB465-78A9-408F-927B-03348CB5D887.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii0-YAJlp-sq_9OH-8t1dI6pFViGhSYj_9TkwTEqPnAte-SgtwMjFcoocuao_DjLEfIL57SeTYX4EOi3hqL41r3i_34pxJqLqsivU2N8LlnOj-AJOB4JLj74UfQ60tB22Rc0VE5YokXZci/w640-h640/8E6AB465-78A9-408F-927B-03348CB5D887.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>Next I colored the images from Wish Upon a Star stamp set. I colored them using copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmAU89tQoyPMte0CFgr7aUhcBUdHh2Mul9zQWAB_2B3wn7BD6Xu9p1HHQl9F0FApGcMIlrOsmk0I0p2lY112s9ApU-DWKQ6n3PXMrFc72ZhJor5aM-WlOU9SZBaO72wHPH2JUvOoGFgQq7/s2048/45B5EDA2-051F-4A53-8B21-EAF353D9A2CF.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmAU89tQoyPMte0CFgr7aUhcBUdHh2Mul9zQWAB_2B3wn7BD6Xu9p1HHQl9F0FApGcMIlrOsmk0I0p2lY112s9ApU-DWKQ6n3PXMrFc72ZhJor5aM-WlOU9SZBaO72wHPH2JUvOoGFgQq7/w640-h640/45B5EDA2-051F-4A53-8B21-EAF353D9A2CF.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>Next I assembled the box card and arranged the images. There's a lot of room to add multiple images but be sure you don't block each other. I adhered them using liquid glue and acetate for the floating elements. For the sentiment I die cut the letters from the Letterboard dies out of navy cardstock. This box card fold flat and will fit nicely in a slimline envelope, just make sure the images are not higher than the back panel or hanging off on the sides. I made that mistake on my card but it's fine with me because this card will probably just be on display in my craft room.<div><br /></div><div>Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend. I'll be back soon. I have a sweet tooth so I love all types of sweet treats but now I'm learning to eat things I love in moderation. It's tough getting older because my metabolism is not what it used to be. I'm back to share my project using products from Penguin Palace Stamps.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgJy9Qg7GSO7NN_aBdKjXYhNl8iegYB1JBPuwjB4ZzqBMXwEd-D0lRS9_yGxZXN_l5YSOBpsvuYNHuCHJm47L55zl4w9Ym8IPJG2RRA3uPoAXqfsD-GWT0uxzKwke1_cMzKlZsgb8pq5y1/s1616/BB4E0FE1-3135-4C92-8302-1B03A98F509D.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1616" data-original-width="1614" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgJy9Qg7GSO7NN_aBdKjXYhNl8iegYB1JBPuwjB4ZzqBMXwEd-D0lRS9_yGxZXN_l5YSOBpsvuYNHuCHJm47L55zl4w9Ym8IPJG2RRA3uPoAXqfsD-GWT0uxzKwke1_cMzKlZsgb8pq5y1/w640-h640/BB4E0FE1-3135-4C92-8302-1B03A98F509D.JPEG" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>I'm having fun creating box cards and this slimline design is amazing! I used the Cinematic Shadow box dies and it's easy to put together. It's similar to putting together a standard size box card but the only difference is the dies are longer so you'll need to make sure you have more paper to cut from. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2_suY1GylZxV0j86FdRnGmRxp2BTMHtaTTR03ZNCgejW4IToHEtrFznxoZHSgoqeJGlsvRFxTJCPFBrcggvXSe1opLuqGzaa4B25wWswPj912VQdPE2-_NBj01gb03PxNoEhM-eUDFgXY/s1657/D8195F77-F3FB-4226-891F-EE8F65AE8B4E.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1657" data-original-width="1657" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2_suY1GylZxV0j86FdRnGmRxp2BTMHtaTTR03ZNCgejW4IToHEtrFznxoZHSgoqeJGlsvRFxTJCPFBrcggvXSe1opLuqGzaa4B25wWswPj912VQdPE2-_NBj01gb03PxNoEhM-eUDFgXY/w640-h640/D8195F77-F3FB-4226-891F-EE8F65AE8B4E.JPEG" width="640" /></a></div>For the base I used the dies to cut from white and gray cardstock and patterned paper for the front panels. I inked the inner panel using distress oxide inks. I used tattered rose, kitsch flamingo, and seedless preserves. For interest I flicked some water, Gansai Tambi watercolor in gold and diluted seedless preserves using a small paint brush. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_lCoXrbySmPYqKqPaV7JZ2gWn7pup8h27FTkyLqOh0rtpUArffcWOkbmFHYrWuQzcnqAd0RO6WXu-8LxQzN_SQ-uO6tlUCxoMqHWpYxh8gxoplHZnj4LMhdFmFqzlMJR9Gngy4aMO7ox2/s1690/DA0DC692-6A58-4841-A1A2-683138075DDC.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1690" data-original-width="1690" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_lCoXrbySmPYqKqPaV7JZ2gWn7pup8h27FTkyLqOh0rtpUArffcWOkbmFHYrWuQzcnqAd0RO6WXu-8LxQzN_SQ-uO6tlUCxoMqHWpYxh8gxoplHZnj4LMhdFmFqzlMJR9Gngy4aMO7ox2/w640-h640/DA0DC692-6A58-4841-A1A2-683138075DDC.JPEG" width="640" /></a></div>Next I stamped and colored a lot of the images from Enchanting Paris using copic markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies. I assembled the box card and placed the images with liquid glue making sure I don't block them from each other. To complete the card I combined the sentiments from the set and cut with a fishtail banner. <p></p><p>I hope you give this new box card design a try. I used different colored cardstock for the rainbow and pattern paper to match. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg7dPn5nD1OAIcJr9IxKuNhLr9_ulgxCZf34Y46Sz7T2YWOZESOsrtMCmMlgbSOhsHN3Gmo0uOdN-l_Jx2tulJ5XYEoSrDg_88Nm3WnmsPcAKtsWTdVtjrBbw6oSbMHFqIBORj52kK_LbH/s2048/EC894DF0-2B6A-4489-AC9F-A776C12CC70E.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg7dPn5nD1OAIcJr9IxKuNhLr9_ulgxCZf34Y46Sz7T2YWOZESOsrtMCmMlgbSOhsHN3Gmo0uOdN-l_Jx2tulJ5XYEoSrDg_88Nm3WnmsPcAKtsWTdVtjrBbw6oSbMHFqIBORj52kK_LbH/w640-h640/EC894DF0-2B6A-4489-AC9F-A776C12CC70E.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>I had previously colored the critters with copic markers and added them to the scene. I ink blended the panel with chipped sapphire, wilted violet, and kitsch flamingo distress oxide inks. I darkened the top edges with black soot distress ink. To add interest I added water droplets and white gouache using a small paint brush.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihYC3htBClwBz5c54vMfQKsthltyN4bNa_k9pPPxIG8MsNpbwMueIz1C6vdrF_I5bFSALrMirOrxBKM471pcC5b_diplechkFS0FtsU9qmCJcPfgjd2Mtrjp3q64P3-SoZvW-Ji7YgmfUR/s2048/C88CEC1C-D769-49A7-B804-513BC510408E.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihYC3htBClwBz5c54vMfQKsthltyN4bNa_k9pPPxIG8MsNpbwMueIz1C6vdrF_I5bFSALrMirOrxBKM471pcC5b_diplechkFS0FtsU9qmCJcPfgjd2Mtrjp3q64P3-SoZvW-Ji7YgmfUR/w640-h640/C88CEC1C-D769-49A7-B804-513BC510408E.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>Next I stamped and colored the images from Hello Bluebird Flying High using copic markers.
