Hello crafty friends! I'm back on the Crafty Meraki blog today
with a new project and I hope you will like it. For my card today, I used the new Balloon Besties stamp set from My Favorite
Things and combined it with Celebrate Tag slimline die from Crafty Meraki.
For my card panel I ink blended on a piece of Bristol smooth paper with distress oxide inks in peacock feathers, kitsch flamingo, and tattered rose. I flick some water using a small paint brush and diluted peacock feathers to add more interest. Once the panel was dry I used a stitched rectangle to cut it to an A2 size card.
Next I stamped the three adorable critters from Balloons Besties, colored them with copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used a combination of liquid glue and double sided foam tape to adhere the images. I cut the grass from green cardstock and ink the edges with lucky clover distress ink for the sweet bunny to sit on.
I combined two sentiments for my card. First I used the big word die from the Celebrate Tag slimline die. I cut this from white card stock several times and glued them together to give dimension. On a light blue cardstock I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set with fine detail white embossing powder and then die cut it using a skinny strip fishtail banner. And that completes my card.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!
