Sunnier Day Ahead

Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well and staying positive during this difficult time. It's crazy how long this pandemic has been going on and I know some days can be hard. I'm glad to be part of the crafting community, it has helped me to keep pushing and inspire me to create. I hope you find something that makes you happy and help you get through this crisis.

Today I would like to share an encouragement card to remind us all that things will get better.

What better way to put a smile on someone's face than a rainbow card right? I used a lot of MFT products for this cute slimline card. This stamp set is called Weather With You and it is packed with cute critters and encouraging sentiments perfect for telling your love ones how much you care.

I started by ink blending my sky background with salty ocean and kitsch flamingo distress oxide inks. I used a small paint brush to flick some water spots and diluted salty ocean onto the panel. Then I used MFT slimline grassy hills die cut from green room cardstock. I inked the grass edges with lucky clover distress oxide ink to add some depth. I also cut the cloud from the slim card basics from Mama Elephant. For the rainbow I used a rainbow die from MFT which is no longer available but there are many rainbow dies out there. I just cut it from scraps of colored cardstock.

I stamped the images from the Weather With You stamp set and colored them with copic markers. I used their coordinating dies to cut them out. Then I adhered them to the panel with foam tape and liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the set on the top right of the panel to complete my card.

I hope this card brings some happiness to your day, hang in there everyone we are all in this together. Take care and have a wonderful day!
