Paper Hug

Happy Sunday crafty friends! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Today I'm on the Crafty Meraki blog to share this sweet slimline card. With everything that is happening in the world right now I thought we could all use a hug.

To start I stamped the images from My Favorite Things Hugs Make Everything Better stamp set and colored them with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Next I ink blended the background on Bristol smooth cardstock. I wanted this card to be happy so of course I used rainbow colors using distress oxide inks. I used the colors salvaged patina, blueprint sketch, wilted violet, picked raspberry, abandoned coral and scattered straws. You can find all these inks in the shop!

I used Crafty Meraki's Bar None slimline die to cut from white cardstock. I cut it twice and stacked them together to make it sturdy. I used a grass die to cut from colored cardstock then tucked them in between the opening to ground the critters. For the sentiment I used the hugs shadow die from Crafty Meraki. I assembled the card using tape runner and liquid glue and that completes my card.

Thank you for stopping by, till next time! Hugs!!
