Twist-n-Pop and Aloha Hawaii

Wednesday, March 24, 2021

Hello! I'm back with another Penguin Palace project. This time we are featuring the new stand alone die called Twist-n-Pop. Here is my card, when you twist it the center panel will pop up. This die is so fun and unique. Let's get started!

To assemble this die is very simple. Check out Penguin Palace YouTube channel for a step-by-step tutorial. The biggest die which is the bottom panel will help ground the rest of the elements. I die cut it from blue cardstock, twist it and use the second largest die to cut twice from pattern cardstock. I adhered them on each side of the blue cardstock.

Next I used the polaroid dies to create my little scene, I cut these twice from Bristol smooth cardstock. I ink blended the solid rectangle with salty ocean and tumbled glass to create the ocean. For the window I used tea dye and vintage photo for the sand. I adhered them together to create my beach scene.

I stamped and colored images from the new stamp set Aloha Hawaii. It has these two cute hula dancers that I colored with copic markers and cut using their coordinating dies. I adhered both of the polaroid panels back to back on the center. Next I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and used the banner dies to cut them out.

Here is what the card looks like when it's flat (untwisted), it will fit in a 6x6 envelope. When the recipient opens it, she/he can twist it and it will pop right up. Turn it around to reveal both scenes. It's so fun right?

Thanks for stopping by, stay tuned for more!
