HB - Yay Happy Birthday

Hello crafty friends! Today I wanted to share with you this card I made using the new release from Hello Bluebird. I'm sure you all have heard or seen their cute stamps sets full of adorable critters by now. I couldn't resists so of course I had to jump in on the band wagon! So first up are these cute bear, bunny and pig from the Just Sayin' stamp set.

You can never have enough birthday cards so I went with a birthday theme with non traditional colors. First I cut a piece of Bristol smooth white card stock using MFT dienamics gift box cover up. This die is so versatile because I can create little scenes in each window and it was the perfect fit to ground these critters. For the negative pieces I colored it with distress oxide inks: broken china, cracked pistachio, and twisted citron. To add some texture I sprinkled some water to activate the ink and then blot it with a paper towel. On a top folding card base I adhered the gift box panel using foam tape so it's slightly raised and glued the colored pieces in place.

I colored the images with copic markers and cut them using the coordinating dies. Then adhered them onto each window using foam tape. The stamp set comes with a ton of phrases so you can customize your sentiment and they fit perfectly on the sign each critters are holding up. I added birthday balloons and party hats to dress them up and also used white gel pen for interest.
