Good Fortune

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a Chinese New Year card featuring the new stamp set by Crafty Meraki called Year of the Ox
For my card I went with a softer palette with light blues, purple and some gold accents. I lightly ink blended my background using Bristol smooth cardstock. I used distress oxides inks in blueprint sketch, shaded lilac, and speckled egg. I added some splatters for interest using water and the same oxide inks diluted in a bit of water.
I stamped the images with brown ink and colored with copic markers. I used my scan and cut to cut them out but you can fussy cut them or purchase the coordinating dies on the Crafty Meraki site.

I laid the images onto the card panel to figure out where to stamp my sentiment. Once I was happy with the placement I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the panel. I wanted an ink to match the colors but make sure the words are readable. I also added the strings to the lanterns using a white gel pen.

Finally I adhered the images with foam tape for dimension. I hope you enjoy this card. Thanks so much for stopping by, till next time. Have a nice day!
