Friday, September 23, 2016
Hello everyone! Thanks for coming back to my blog. Here is the third card I entered to My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar contest. I end up making a 3D card using the September stamp set by Birdie Brown called Happy Hedgehogs. They're so cute but I say that about every stamp I own. :)

Here is the inside of the card:
There were so many amazing cards entered so it's really going to be tough for MFT to decide the lucky winners. Good luck everyone!! Till next time have a great day!

MFT 2016 Card Design Superstar - Card 2

Thursday, September 22, 2016
Good morning! Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I'm completely exhausted and drained!  Here's my second card entry to My Favorite Things 2016 Card Design Superstar contest. I used the September release stamp set called Harvest Buddies. I used strong colors this time and went with an autumn\fall scene.
This was my second attempt creating a pop up card and I might be addicted because I can't wait to make another one. I enjoyed coloring these guys with their big heads.

Here's the front of the card:

MFT 2016 Card Design Superstar - Card 1

Wednesday, September 21, 2016
Hello friends! Thanks for coming back to my blog. Today I wanted to share this card I will be entering to the My Favorite Things 2016 Card Design Superstar contest. When I first heard about this contest I knew I wanted to enter so I went through all my MFT stamps and start creating. I didn't realize how many stamp sets I have but I decided to use last year's Birdie Brown Adorable Elephants. Can't go wrong with these cuties right?

I knew I wanted to make a shaker card and incorporate a rainbow because I love colors if you don't know me by now. Hahaha! The elephant standing up was the perfect setting for this card then I built the scene around it. I thought it would be fun for him to squirt a rainbow instead of water or perhaps a water rainbow?? LOL!

First I cut two card panels using a stitched rectangle die. On the first panel I die cut the rainbow and on the second panel I used it for the clouds. Then I went all out with lots of distress inks. I colored all the stamp images with my copic markers. For the shaker part I glued the rainbow directly onto my card base. I used a clear acetate and using my fuse tool I melted the acetate following the shape of the rainbow. Before completely closing the acetate shut I poured 3mm clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I just love these tiny sequins, they add so much sparkle! Next I adhered double sided foam tape on the back of the stamps for dimension. When I was building this card I got so caught up in the scene that I forgot to think about where to put the sentiment. I'm glad there was enough space for it. I heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.
Thanks for stopping by till next time...wish me luck!! :) Have a wonderful day!

MFT - Birthday Fly by

Wednesday, September 7, 2016
Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I shared this birthday card on my Instagram. I have been trying to create cards from stamps I previous colored so now this adorable dragon finally has a home. :)
As you can see I used a lot of distress inks on this card. First I die cut the card panel from a stitch rectangle die and blended distress inks from top to bottom: broken china, peacock feathers, and dusty concord. I also used distress inks on the rainbow - mustard seed, broken china, picked raspberry and cracked pistachio. I positioned the dragon in between the rainbows and added foam tape behind it for dimension. I heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder but I think I should have used white instead to make it stand out, oh well! Finally I added Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins for some bling.

Thanks for stopping by till next time! Good night!!
