Pixie dust

Hello dear friends! Today I'm excited to be part of the Crafty Meraki Instagram hop to celebrate their new release Meraki Hugs. All products are now available on their site. Check out the inspirations from all the DT and play along for a chance to win a prize!

Here's the card I made.

I absolutely love the adorable Pixie Perfect stamp set. I used one of three of the fairies included in this set. I chose the fairy that looks like she's flying and ready to cast magic with her fairy dusts at least this is how I pictured her. I started by cutting a piece of Spectrum Noir cardstock. I stamped the fairy on the center of the panel using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I then masked it using Stick It adhesive. Once the masked covered the fairy image I began ink blending with distress oxide. I used the colors victorian velvet in the center to make the fairy glow, then dusty concord, blueprint sketch. Then I used MFT A2 stitched rectangles to cut the panel. I darken the edges with black soot regular distress ink.
I created a lot of splatter on this card to make it look like fairy dust. I used a combination of water, white gouache, perfect pearls and gansai tambi watercolors. Once my panel was completely dry, I peeled off the masking. I colored the fairy with copic makers and added stickles to her wings.

For the sentiment I white heat embossed on vellum and framed it using Sunny Studios Fancy Frames die. If the fairy dust wasn't enough I also added tiny yellow stars all around her. I know I went over board but this fairy card called for it. I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by!
