MFT - Monster sized birthday wishes

Thursday, October 27, 2016
Hello everyone! I have this quick card share for you today. I used the Monster Love stamp set from My Favorite Things and created a birthday card. I also used a different technique that I learned from the talented Amy Lee (IG: thecraftbunny). I took the Altenew Academy course called Easy Blending Techniques which Amy taught and I wanted to try the confetti look so this is what I came up with:
For this technique you blend your distress inks using a blending tool. Then use the same distress inks add water and using a brush you flick it onto your card creating a confetti effect. Let your card panel dry completely before adhering anything onto it.
I liked how it turned out but on a side note next time I won't add shimmer onto distress ink because it activated the colors and move it around hence the not so pretty balloons.

I hope you enjoyed this card and try this fun technique. Thanks for stopping by! See you next time!

PPP - You warm my heart

Thursday, October 20, 2016

Hello everyone thanks for stopping by! I created this card a couple of weeks ago using the new release from Pretty Pink Posh called Winter Wonderland. I was going for a traditional Christmas color so I chose to blend colors of red for my card panel.
I stamped several penguins and the little girl using Memento tuxedo black and colored them with copic markers. I added a touch of white onto the penguins using white jelly roll pen. Aren't these penguins adorable? I cut the snow slope out of scallop border die and scallop frame die. Then I adhered it on top of black cardstock. I like how it makes the red stand out even more.
I wanted the penguins to hold each other's hand ? (not sure what they call it, haha) then I end  up putting the little girl in between the penguins so they are all lined up. I thought it turned out cute with the warm and fuzzy feeling just like the holidays. The sentiment was very fitting for this card. I colored the heart with copic markers and lastly added clear sequins.

I hope you enjoy this card. See you next time!

Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop - October 2016 Release

Thursday, October 13, 2016

Hello everyone! I'm super excited to be part of the Pretty Pink Posh October release blog hop. The new release is filled with lots of adorable stamp sets and dies which is perfect for the holidays. You will love it!

For my first card I used the Halloween Friends stamp set and coordinating dies. I colored all the images with copic markers and my background is blended using distress inks. I also used several dies scallop border die for the landscape and window frame die for the moon. To complete the card I added a few silver star confetti from the new release.

For my second card I made a shaker card using Winter Wonderland stamp set and coordinating dies. I wanted to use the beautiful new sequins mix called winter sparkles. I love the colors and it inspired me to use the same combo on my card. I heat embossed the snowflakes on my card panel then blend with distress ink. I colored the eskimo girl and polar bear with copic markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by! The new release is now available on the Pretty Pink Posh shop. If you spend $100 you will receive the Holiday Greeting set. Happy shopping!!

LF - Happy Howl-o-ween

Monday, October 10, 2016

Happy Monday! I've been into making Halloween cards lately so here's another one using Happy Howloween and Booyah stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I'm also into Lawn Fawn products at the moment and have been getting some of their older stamp sets. They're so fun and love the punny sentiments they come up with. :)

I hope you're having a great day and I will be back with another card tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!

LF - Ghouls night out

Sunday, October 9, 2016

Hello everyone! I'm sharing this card using a stamp set from last year. Sad to say this was my first time using this stamp but I had fun creating this card. This stamp set is from Lawn Fawn Booyah, I'm sure you have seen lots of inspiration with these ghosts and their quirky costumes.
As always my background is colored in various distressed inks. The ghosts and costumes are colored in copic markers and sentiment is heat embossed in white embossing powder.
I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

PPP - Peace, Love and Joy

Sunday, October 2, 2016

Hello crafty friends! Welcome back to my blog. I would like to share this card I made using one of the stamps I got from Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember. I got the Winder Bird Friends by Pretty Pink Posh. The stamp set comes with one bird with various accessories and lots of sentiments. It works well with previous PPP stamps Birdie friends and Birdie notes.

I started off inking my background with distress inks then splattered a bit of water. I colored the images with copic markers and cut them using the coordinating dies. For the snow fall and pompoms on the hat I used Marvy Uchida snow marker which adds a bit of texture. It comes out liquid but when you heat it up with a heat tool it puffs out. I've used it on critter's fur also and it gives it a realistic look.  For the sentiment I heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.
I will have more holiday cards for you to see. Thanks for stopping by till next time!
